Help on the day for setting up (2.30pm onwards), serving, tea/coffee, collecting used tableware, washing up and drying, and packing up after, will be appreciated.  Tea towels welcome!  Please avoid arriving before 2.50pm unless you intend to help set up.

A few people have been asking about the “bring-a-plate buffet”. Well, think American Supper except it’s not supper – it’s afternoon tea!

We don’t want to be overwhelmed with food, so it’s entirely optional whether you wish to contribute anything, and it comes more easily to some to do this than to others anyway (baking a cake isn’t in my skill set!). We’re sure that enough people will bring some cake, sandwiches, or savouries for everyone to have some tea (and if you can make it rather than buy it so much the better – but all contributions are welcome). And just in case we are overwhelmed, please be prepared to take what’s left home with you if necessary.

We will provide tea or coffee free of charge, and the buffet will be free, all in aid of generating more donations for the charities.

No, you do not need to bring an empty plate! We have plates (but we will appreciate volunteers to help wash up afterwards – it will be helpful to bring a tea towel or two). Bring a full plate as a contribution for the buffet table, or just bring yourselves (either is fine)!
